NEWS that Sheffield United can claim up to pounds 30million compo over Tevezgate has led to a gold rush from within football.

Other clubs are on the sniff, as are players who dropped down a pay league.

Inevitably one group has been overlooked. Fans.

How come it's not being argued that anyone who handed over pounds 30 to watch Tevez play in all of those illegal games has a right to compensation? I'll tell you why. It's a shock when clubs or players are cheated out of money, but it's expected when fans are.
