Sheer cheek; LETTERS to the EDITOR.

I AM constantly amazed at the sheer cheek of David Kirwan (Daily Post Letters, April 9) and his pomposity in extolling the virtues of his position as an independent councillor.

This is a man elected only once and then as a Conservative councillor. Now, having fallen out with his party, he abandons them and the people who trusted him with their vote on the basis of his politics, only to then complain of a rising tide of political disingenuousness.

In my opinion, Cllr Kirwan personifies all that is wrong with politics today.
