Sheen forced back to drug clinic.

Hell-raising actor Charlie Sheen was chased by sheriffs when he fled a drugs rehab clinic hours after checking in.

Last night, Sheen was back in hospital after the sheriffs took him there to continue treatment.

Sheriff's deputy Bob Killeen confirmed they had chased and caught Sheen because "he was not able to care for himself".

Sheen, who starred in Platoon and Wall Street, had reported to the unit after being released from hospital on Friday following a drugs and alcohol overdose.

Within hours, he told doctors at the unit near Los Angeles he had no intention of staying for treatment and left with some friends.

The unit called Malibu sheriff's office because Sheen should have stayed under strict supervision because of his medication.
