Sharp Document Solutions Company of America Establishes New Direct, Local Sales Operation.

Sharp Business Systems of Arizona, opening today, combines top-notch local service and customer support with the industry's leading MFP technology

PHOENIX -- Sharp Document Solutions Company of America (SDSCA) today announced that it has established a direct regional sales operation through its new division, Sharp Business Systems. The first branch, Sharp Business Systems of Arizona, opened today. The Company plans to establish more than 20 local Sharp Business Systems branches during the next few years.

"Sharp Business Systems will help Sharp continue to grow the business and strengthen Sharp's distribution in key markets nationwide," said Ed McLaughlin, President, SDSCA. "Our direct branch strategy will augment our strong independent dealer channel by enabling Sharp to better understand customer needs and then translating that into outstanding products and support for our dealers."

SDSCA purchased Phoenix-based Davidson Imaging Systems, Inc. to launch Sharp Business Systems in Arizona and New Mexico. The Davidson Imaging Systems, Inc. management team has served the market for more than 30 years, gaining a reputation for superior service. All employees of Davidson Imaging Systems, Inc. have been asked to join the team and will provide seamless service to existing customers in Phoenix, Tempe, Tucson, Flagstaff and Prescott, Arizona as well as Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sharp Business Systems of Arizona will be managed by industry veteran Rich Ferraro, who brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Sharp. "As the first branch of Sharp Business Systems we've acquired a strong business with very experienced people. We are pleased to have Davidson Imaging Systems Inc.'s staff joining the team to maintain our focus on outstanding local service while bringing best-in-class document products and solutions to our Arizona- and New Mexico-based customers," said Ferraro.
