Sharks in top four after win at Bristol.

SALE Sharks director of rugby Philippe Saint-Andre was pleased that his side secured a 24-17 victory over Bristol to take them into the Premiership's top four and in-line for a place in next season's Heineken Cup.

All the points came in the second half with the pick of them from full-back Ben Foden with skipper Jason White and back row Chris Jones getting the Sharks' other touchdowns. Charlie Hodgson added three conversions and a well-struck drop goal.

"The last 10 minutes showed that we didn't get enough ball to score a fourth try for a bonus point but I am pleased we won," he said.

It was Bristol's third successive Premiership defeat but they gained a bonus point through a late try from wing David Lemi to add to the earlier touchdown from centre Neil Brew.

Fly-half Ed Barnes and his replacement Jason Strange added the conversions.
