Shameful way to treat a hero.

CONSIDERING the appalling injuries Ben Parkinson suffered when he was blown up in Afghanistan, his recovery has been miraculous.

Even though he lost both legs and suffered brain damage, his determination and the care he has had have put him on the road to regaining some independence.

But now Ben has learnt he is likely to be kicked out of the Army before the end of the year, which would mean much of his treatment would stop.

The Army, which he served so loyally with such terrible consequences, is washing its hands of him when he desperately needs its support.

This is a clear breach of the Military Covenant, which has been enshrined in law. It is also a despicable way for the MoD to treat someone who has given so much in service of his country. It shames this country.
