Shameful to see PM refusing to resign despite proofs against him: Imran Khan.
ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Friday termed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's move not to resign as 'shameful' despite proofs against him of money laundering, tax evasion, assets concealment, perjury and forgery.
Khan took to twitter and posted that, the Premier is maligning the name of his late father and children.
'Nawaz Sharif is willing to betray nation and malign his late father and children just to remain in power despite all loss of moral and legitimate authority,' he said.
He expressed resentment and questioned that, 'How the people and taxpayers can trust PM Nawaz Sharif, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and their appointees like Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Chairman Zafar Hijazi and Saeed Ahmed, incumbent president of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) who are all guilty of criminal financial wrongdoings.'
Khan also posted his take on PM Nawaz's conspiracy claim against the government saying, 'What PM Nawaz Sharif calls conspiracy against him and democracy is actually his inability to subvert accountability process by buying off all those holding him accountable.'
