Shame of Labour's rightward drift; LETTERS.

I would like to tip my cloth socialist cap to those 48 Labour MPs who defied the party whip and opposed the welfare bill at its second reading.

To those Welsh Labour MPs, shame on you. This disgraceful stance will haunt Labour through next year's Welsh Assembly election and far beyond. Labour have completely abandoned any pretence of being a party of social justice.

I hope the people of Wales will finally wake up to the fact Labour in Wales are following Labour in England to the right like sheep. The real power is not with Carwyn Jones AM and Cardiff Bay but Owen Smith MP and London. Just as the recent Welsh leaders debate has shown when Owen Smith MP represented Welsh Labour. Even Rhodri Morgan's clear red water speech still hasn't convinced the Welsh public.Andrew Nutt, Bargoed
