Shaikh Nasser meets British parliamentarians.

London, June 22 (BNA)--Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Royal Charity Organisation board of trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa met Chairman of All Party Parliamentary Group on Bahrain Conor Burns, former Brtish Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's Personal Secretary Mark Worthington He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, lauding historic friendly relations between Bahrain and the UK.

He presented a briefing on the latest developments in Bahrain, stressing the kingdom's commitment to the recommendations included in Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI)'s report and keenness to further bolster outstanding relations with Britain.

He also hailed the British experiences in promoting the concepts of human rights while contributing to maintaining regional security and stability.

He underlined his support to the youth dialogue initiatives aimed at boosting the reform march initiated by HM the King, affirming that the door for dialogue will always remain open.

He also underscored the need to intensify parliamentary visits between Bahrain and the UK to share experiences and views on various issues.

The meeting was attended by Media Advisor at the Bahraini embassy in the UK Shaikh Fahd bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and First Lieutenant Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Ajman.
