Shahryar Khan to preside last session as PCB chief on July 28.

LAHORE -- The last session of current governing board of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be held on July 28 and Shahryar Khan will preside the last session as Chairman.

PCB Chief is in England these days and will reach Pakistan on July 27 to attend the meeting. According to the constitution of PCB, the governing board will appoint one person as the next chairman out of the two nominees.

The announcement of the name of election commissioner is expected after the governing board meeting. PCB will not have any chairman for some days until the elections and the new governing board will start functioning from August 6.

It is pertinent to mention here that a resolution was moved in the annual council meeting on May 25 to appoint Najam Sethi as the next PCB Chief. Although the resolution holds no significance over the appointment, but the conduct of higher officials of the board show that Sethi will be the next chairman.
