Byline: By ROBIN TURNER Western Mail

Piet manca, the Neath-born businessman who established a series of controversial drug paraphernalia and sex shops in the UK has been killed in an accident in Spain. The 47-year-old was walking alone in the Costa Del Sol near his home there when he was hit by a car. His 17-year-old son Antony, who runs one of his late father's Little Amsterdam stores in King Edward Road, Brynmill, Swansea, said yesterday Spanish police were investigating last week's fatal accident.

A cremation ceremony will be held for Mr Manca at Swansea Crematorium next week following a private funeral service at his mother's home in Birchgrove, Swansea.

Mr Manca, who shortened his name from Pietro, was fined pounds 4,000 and ordered to pay pounds 7,000 costs for selling unclassified adult videos at his Neath store two years ago. The Neath store was next door to Cabinet Minister Peter Hain's constituency offices and a number of people called for the store to be closed.
