Sex attack claim; COURT CASEBOOK.

A man is to face trial on a charge of sexually assaulting a woman in Thornhill.

Callum Templeton, 26, of Galabreck Road, Thornhill pleaded not guilty to repeatedly touching the woman on the knee and thigh at the Farmers'Arms in January.

Trial has been set for June at Dumfries Sheriff Court.

| A man has been accused in court at Dumfries of repeatedly stabbing another man on the head with a knife.

Colin Carruthers, 32, of Galloway Street, Dumfries, pleaded not guilty to assault at College Drive in the town last May.

He also denied that he was in possession of a machete-type knife and a kitchen knife without reason or authority.Trial has been set for June.

| A motorist has been charged with driving dangerously in Glasgow Street in Dumfries and hitting another car.

Daniel Fellowes, 31, of Goldie Avenue, Dumfries, pleaded not guilty to committing the offence in December.

He also denied failing to stop and give his details and failing to report the crash as soon as possible.

Trial at Dumfries Sheriff Court has been set for June.

| A man is to face trial on charges of assault and threatening behaviour.

James Elliot, 35, of Blackrig, Thornhill, pleaded not guilty at Dumfries Sheriff Court to a total of six charges.

He pleaded not guilty to shouting and swearing at a woman in the Co-op in Thornhill on January 16.

He also denied that on January 23 at St Cuthbert's Walk he shouted and swore at a man, challenged him to fight and poked him on the body, shouted and swore at another and acted aggressively towards him.

In addition he denied smashing the windscreen of a car at Blackrig and assaulting another man. Trial has been set for June.

| A motorist has been accused in court of driving dangerously on the A75 near Carrutherstown.

Thomas Johnstone, 32, of Newton Road, Dumfries, is alleged to have crossed a solid white line and overtaken two vehicles last October when it was unsafe. The case at Dumfries Sheriff Court has been continued without plea to March 21.
