Sewell Automotive Group Chooses Texal Energy to Retrofit Collision Center, Cuts Lighting Energy Consumption by Over 60%.
Dallas, TX, June 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Sewell Automotive Group, a luxury automotive dealership group, selected Texal Energy to retrofit their Dallas, Texas collision center with new energy efficient LED lighting to improve operational costs and reduce energy consumption.
Texal Energy retrofitted over 340 400W metal halide fixtures with new technology T5 fluorescent high bay fixtures. These fixtures feature cutting - edge technology, including advanced infrared occupancy sensor capabilities able to read motion from over 60 feet at 360[degrees]. By replacing older metal halide (MH) fixtures with 218-watt T5 high bay lights, Sewell Automotive Group saved over 60% on their energy expense while increasing light output by over 35%.
The Sewell Automotive Group's collision center is now completely illuminated by Texal Energy's LED energy efficient lighting solutions which produced an annual reduction of over 400,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) and a $39,400 initial return on investment. The entire project is expected to produce $312,450 in lifetime energy savings.
