Several wounded in Kunduz suicide bombing.

KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): Several people, including a Quick Reaction Force commander, were wounded in a suicide attack in northern Kunduz province on Thursday evening, an official said.

The bomber who was on foot struck in front of Quick Reaction Force commander Abdullah Guard's residence in the Khanabad area of the provincial capital at about 6.30pm.

A police official, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News Abdullah Guard, a former jihadi commander, was wounded along with several others in the attack.

Giving a witness account, Mohammad Siddique said: "Abdullah was sitting in front of house. The attacker bomber blew himself up near him. There was dirt and fog all around."
