Seventh heaven for luxury lovers.
GREATER comfort, more efficiency, techno treats and hybrid power are all features of the latest, revamped, BMW 7 Series luxury model range.
Prices vary from PS58,115 for a 730d SE version to PS104,05 for a 760Li M Sport.
From the outside, the main changes are to the front and rear of the car, while there's also an 8mm drop in height to give the new BMW a sleeker profile.
So the latest version of the company's kidney grille now features a larger aperture while the air intake is now split into three sections. And as an option, customers can now specify adaptive LED headlights.
Inside, there's improved soundproofing plus newly designed seats, along with the option of Comfort seats in combination with either folding tables or a new rear seat entertainment system that features 9.2-inch colour screens.
A further option is the individual rear Comfort seats, which features electrical adjustment for the seat back angle, seat position and head restraint.
And for the ultimate in rear-seat comfort, there's also the long wheelbase version with an extra 140mm devoted to rear seat legroom.
BMW is also offering a Bang & Olufsen audio set-up boasting 1,200w of power and 16 speakers - including an illuminated centre speaker that extends out of the instrument panel.
Topping off the luxury experience is a new multi-functional instrument panel with integrated 10.25-inch screen featuring black panel technology taking the place of the standard four dials.
The colour and info varies on whether the driver has selected Comfort, Sport or ECO PRO mode with the car's Drive Performance Control button.
Beneath the bonnet a revised engine line-up sees the twin turbocharged 544bhp V12 760Li model topping the range with its 0-62mph time of just 4.6 seconds.
There is also a pair of diesels - the 730d and 740d, the latter appreciably more efficient than the current unit - and two six-cylinder petrol versions.
These include the new Active-Hybrid7 which takes the 320bhp 2,979cc engine from the "standard" 740i and pairs it with a 55bhp electric motor for a combined 354bhp.
This model, the first 7 Series hybrid to be offered in the UK and costing PS66,040, can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds, can return 41.5mpg and emissions of 158g/km.
All models bar the 760Li come with Auto Start-Stop and Brake Energy Regeneration and among the optional safety systems is Night Vision with pedestrian recognition technology.
