Seven steps to HD perfection.
SARAH Mcfarlane, beauty therapist at Rainbow Room International, Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow, talks us through the different steps to the perfect HD brow.
1 Step one is an in-depth consultation to determine which brow shape will best suit the client's face shape and what shade they would like their brows to be.
Women with oval face shapes tend to be able to get away with a variety of different brow shapes, but a slightly arched brow is perfect for this shape.
Square face shapes suit a slightly rounder brow, while round face shapes suit a high arched brow to flatter and define their bone structure.
Heart and diamond face shapes suit a round medium arched brow - the arch on the brow will help to soften a pointed chin.
Lastly, long face shapes suit a flat arched eyebrow, brows that are too arched or too curvy on long face shapes can leave you looking a little surprised.
2 Step two is tinting .This is great for women with over-plucked, sparse brows as the tint, when used correctly, can actually be used to camouflage any gaps in the eyebrows. Your therapist will choose a tint as close as possible to your natural brow colour.
3 Step three is waxing. Wax is used to create a defined arch in the brow and we use a special wax that doesn't pull the skin so it's as gentle as waxing can be.
4 Step four is trimming. The brows are trimmed to make sure that they are the same length and kept neat and tidy.
5 Step five is threading, this is usually the step that clients find most painful. Threading is used above the brow to blend the hairs naturally with the rest of your face and help to define the shape.
6 Step six is tweezing. The eyebrows are tweezed to get rid of any last remaining stray hairs.
7 Step seven is aftercare. The eyebrows are set with the HD Brow's Brow Beater and then any last sparse areas are filled in using the HD Brow Kit to create the finished look. Your therapist will also run through how to care for your new brows to ensure that you keep them looking as beautiful as possible for as long as possible.
HD brows treatment is available at Rainbow Room International's Royal Exchange Square, Buchanan Street, East Kilbride, and in their Stirling salon, too.
