Serbia on Kosovo.

Serbia has tabled a resolution on Kosovo for discussion by the United Nations General Assembly. Reportedly, the resolution, drafted after the International Court of Justice advisory opinion that there was nothing out of line with international law in the February 2008 unilateral declaration of independence in Pristina, could be discussed by the General Assembly on September 9. Media reports said that there were divisions in the Serbian government about the resolution, claiming that Serbian foreign minister Vuk Jeremic had rejected EU requests to soften the text, while economy minister Mladen Dinkic was said to hold that it would alienate the United States and others who support Kosovo independence.
