Sequa files suit, names agent.

Sequa Chemicals, Chester, SC, has filed a patent infringement suit against the C.H. Patrick Company relating to U.S. Patent 4,396,391; the suit addresses claims that C.H. Patrick made about its resin products being formaldehyde-free. The patent, "Treating Cellulose Textile Fabrics with Dimethylol Dihydroxy Ethylene Urea Polyol," covers Sequa durable press products and "Permafresh" resins.

In other Sequa news, the company has named Texall, Montreal, Canada, as sales representative for waterbased binders for Canada. Texall will represent and distribute "SequaBond" binders for water-based flexo and gravure inks and overprint varnishes.
