Septemberfest Family Fun Night and Concert Night Featuring Boogie Wonderland and Catchpenny Take Place in Eagan Sept. 16-17.

Popular outdoor festival celebrates its eighth year

EAGAN, Minn. -- Septemberfest, the popular annual outdoor fall festival in Eagan, returns for its eighth year with Family Fun Night on Friday, Sept. 16 and a concert night featuring Boogie Wonderland and Catchpenny on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Septemberfest is planned and managed by Faithful Shepherd Catholic School and takes place on the school's grounds, located at 3355 Columbia Drive in Eagan -- just east of the Yankee Doodle Road and Lexington Avenue intersection. The concerts and Family Fun Night take place rain or shine under an event pavilion, which combines the benefits of an open-air festival with shelter from potential cool fall weather or rain. Parking is free for both events.

Concert Information: Septemberfest concert night tickets for Boogie Wonderland and Catchpenny are $15 in advance through Sept. 9; $20 after that and at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased online at www.septemberfestrocks.com, The event gate opens on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5 p.m. Beer and other adult beverages, sodas, water, and Jake's City Grille food selections will be available to purchase. Beverages will be two-for-the-price-of-one from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Concert goers must be age 21 or older.

Family Fun Night Information: An evening of youthful joy under the Septemberfest big top tent, Family Fun Night takes place Friday, Sept. 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event features carnival games and activities, DJ music and entertainment, great food and beverages, raffle prizes, crafts, and more. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family. Prices for games, activities, raffle, food and beverages start at $1.
