Alamance County Paralegal Association

AAPA holds monthly lunch and learn events at the Twisted Laurel, 130 College Street on the first Thursday of each month at noon. If you are a first-time attendee, the meeting is free.

Six total hours of CLE will be available, including two hours of substance abuse credits. North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys

28, 2018: The N.C Association of Defense Attorneys' annual fall seminar will take place at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro. Membership in the NCADA's Paralegal Division is open to paralegals who devote a substantial amount of their professional time to handling litigation and whose presentation in such cases is primarily for the defense, government and/or business. To be eligible, a paralegal must work under the supervision of a lawyer member of the NCADA. Annual membership dues for paralegals are $75.00.

North Carolina Paralegal Association

North Carolina Bar Association Paralegal Division

Events:

The North Carolina Bar Association Paralegal Division held council/strategic planning meetings of the new bar year on August 11, after attending the Durham Bulls baseball game in Durham the night before. The group reports they were both productive and had a great time.

Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association

The RWPA Bylaws provide membership to working paralegals, students, patrons, and anyone with up-to-date North Carolina Paralegal Certification status who lives or works in Wake County or Research Triangle Park. Meetings are held bi-monthly from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at the Holiday Inn across from Crabtree Valley Mall on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Guest speakers discuss topics related to the legal profession or to self-improvement.

RWPA currently has 50 members and 41 student members. Dues are $50 per year for general members and free to students currently enrolled in a paralegal training program in Wake County. Visit our website at www.raleighwakeparalegal.net for information and application for membership.

Research Triangle Paralegal Association

17, 2018: RTPA will hold a general business meeting, including annual elections, from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Attorneys from Olive Law Group will discuss skills and training that are helpful when working as a paralegal or legal assistant.
