Sensiva SC 50 approved for sunscreens in.

AUSTRALIA: Sensiva SC 50 (INCI designation: ethylhexylglycerin), a multifunctional cosmetic additive from Schulke & Mayr GmbH, is now approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia. This approval allows the product to be used in sunscreens and other non-prescription products which are proposed for registration or listing in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).

Ethylhexylglycerin is the preservative enhancer in Schulke & Mayr's new cosmetic preservative Euxyl PE 9010, which is based on the active phenoxyethanol. With this TGA approval, Euxyl PE 9010 may now also be used in sun care products for Australia, as phenoxyethanol is also TGA approved.
