Senior duo in at Loganair.

LOGANAIR has made two senior appointments ahead of becoming an independent airline.

Former Caledonian Sleeper commercial director David Dishon joins the regional airline as finance director, and Kay Ryan, former commercial director with Eastern Airways, joins Loganair in a similar role.

Dishon, who was also formerly finance controller in Scotland for Network Rail, will join the Loganair corporate board alongside managing director Jonathan Hinkles, chairman David Harrison and Peter Simpson, chief executive of Loganair parent company Airline Investments Ltd.

Flybe terminated its franchise deal with Loganair last November after failing to agree new commercial and operational terms, and the partnership will end in August after 24 years.

Glasgow-based Loganair will operate services"in its own right" from September 1, 2017 and under its own brand name.
