Senate Committee discusses matter regarding quota increase of FATA's students.

ISLAMABAD -- The senate standing committee on States and Frontier Region (SAFRON) has urged immediate implantation on federal cabinet orders regarding increase in allocated quota of FATA's students in higher education departments and universities.

The committee was held on Monday with senator Taj Muhammad Afridi in the chair. While addressing the meeting members, Chairman of Committee stated that it is essential that FATA students should be provided equal study opportunity in country higher institutions.

'FATA students are equally talented and they should be provided suitable opportunities for showing their talent' he added.

However, committee was told that such directions haven't being implemented in medical and engineering universities because it was essential first to get approval from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
