Selfless Laura is her gran's best pal; FANTASTIC SUMMER POPS DATE FOR THE TEENAGERS YOU NOMINATED FOR OUR SPECIAL TREAT.
The 17-year-old has helped care for gran Hilda Stocks since an operation in 2003 left her in a wheelchair.
Added to this, the Birkenhead High scholarship student is a volunteer young leader for the Rainbows and has had to battle back from Crohn's disease that attacked her as she studied for her GC-SEs as well as bullying at school.
Laura was nominated for the Top of the Teens competition by her mother Elaine.
Elaine, from Wallasey, said: "I know as her mother I may be biased, but I genuinely don't know of a more deserving winner.
"She's been a tower of strength to us over the last four years, she rarely complains and brightens the lives of everyone she meets."
Laura, who hopes to either become a doctor or a primary school teacher, said: "I didn't know mum had entered me in the competition so it was a big surprise.
"I help with my gran, making dinner or going for a walk with her. I sometimes go to bingo if I don't have youth group, and I've even won, although only chocolates."
