Selectmen OK license for patio dining area.

MILLBURY -- The Board of Selectmen at their Oct. 13 meeting unanimously approved a request from a new Asian restaurant for a patio dining area.

Feng Asian Bistro, which will be opening in the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley next month, requested to have an outside dining area and to extend the liquor license to serve alcoholic beverages in that area.

In approving the license, the board said the outside dining area will be similar to those that already exist at neighboring restaurants Red Robin and Qdoba, also located in the shopping center.

In other business, the selectmen approved a pole petition from Verizon to remove a guy wire on Broadmeadow Avenue and replace it with a brace. Verizon petitioned the selectmen on behalf of a Broadmeadow Avenue resident who requested the change because the guy wire was extending into his driveway.
