SELECTED MEASURES OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
PROGRAMS
In July, the percentages of the unemployed who had been out
of work for less than 5 weeks and for 27 weeks and over rose;
the percentages for 5-14 weeks and for 15-26 weeks fell. The mean
duration of unemployment rose to 25.1 weeks and the median duration
fell to 15.7 weeks.

include Railroad (RR) program, Federal supplemental compensation
or Emergency Unemployment Compensation programs.

NOTE.--Data relate to persons age 16 years and over
(except for insured unemployment and initial claims).
