Seeing red over green spaces.
OF all the anachronistic idiocies governing life in Wales today, the national planning system must be the most blinkered piece of drivel.City Hall planners are being forced to draw up a plan to allow developers to dig up pretty much every bit of unprotected green space within their borders to satisfy a future population estimate.
Expanding Cardiff's borders, or putting the housing in neighbouring authorities, is apparently unthinkable.
Why, you might ask, is the Assembly Government so wedded to a system that cherishes arbitrary council boundaries that bear no relation to life in South Wales while giving little thought to the open space people enjoy using?
