See sense and dole out EUR25m.
But it has emerged Brian Cowen's dragging his heels to approve a EUR25million plan that would save SR Technics and in turn 900 jobs.
As Labour's Eamon Gilmore said, it is financial sense to make the investment now as in the long run it will cost the state more to pay for these workers on the dole.
It costs the state EUR11million to pay for every 1,000 people who become unemployed.
So the Government will essentially score an own goal if they don't approve the buy-out and let SR Technics shut up shop..
