See if Matt and co do have the X factor.
The X Factor proved to be one of the year's biggest entertainment show successes, regularly pulling in eight million viewers, and now fans around the UK will have the opportunity to see the nine final contenders sing live.
And for many that means a chance to see the hugely popular opera boy band G4, which of course includes former Huddersfield student Matt Stiff.
The 24-year-old bass singer studied at Huddersfield University where under the guidance of teacher Paul Wade, from Golcar, he gained his master's degree before going on to the Guildhall School of Music in London, where he subsequently met, and teamed up with the rest of the band members, Jon Ansell, Michael Christie and Ben Thapa.
And although G4 lost out in the final to `housewives' favourite' Steve Brookstein they have since signed a pounds 1m record deal with Sony Music and their debut album will be released on February 28.
Before then however, the band will join programme winner, Steve Brookstein, Verity, Tabby, Cassie, Rowett, Roberta and the runners-up in the group categories, 2 To Go and Voices With Soul, for the national tour, which kicks off on Tuesday, February 15 at Newcastle Arena.
Huddersfield fans of the programme will have the chance to see their favourites perform at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena on February 19 as part of the 10-date X Factor Live Tour. Ticket hotline 0870 735 5000
