Security Dynamics announces resignation of Kenneth P. Weiss as chairman, director and chief technical officer.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 1996--Security Dynamics Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: SDTI) today announced the resignation of Kenneth P. Weiss as Chairman, Chief Technical Officer and Director of the company.

Charles R. Stuckey, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Security Dynamics, made the announcement at the Company's 1996 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.

Mr. Weiss was the founder of Security Dynamics and the inventor of the SecurID(R) technology. At the company's Annual Meeting, Mr. Stuckey stated that "Ken has made significant contributions to the Company over the years, particularly in the areas of technology and patents." According to Mr. Stuckey, "this resignation does not come as a complete surprise. Unfortunately, over the past few years Ken has had numerous disagreements with certain Directors and with certain of the Company's operations and policies." Mr. Stuckey indicated that Mr. Weiss cited these disagreements as a basis for his resignation.

The Company also reported that Mr. Weiss has agreed to remain available as a consultant to the company to provide support in the areas of technology and new products, the prosecution of existing patent applications and the defense of the Company's existing patents.
