Securities Law Claims: A Practical Guide.

In May, Oceana Publications (Dobbs Ferry, NY) released Securities Law Claims: A Practical Guide, a new volume that provides an examination of legal matters in the securities market from the perspective of an issuing company. Targeted to board members, trustees and counsel, the book includes an overview of securities law concepts and "enough detail to begin an action plan at any stage from securities issue to prosecution," the company said. Editorial covers: shareholder derivative actions; SEC enforcement; increased responsibility of Boards of Directors; state securities and Blue Sky laws; managing company communication before and during litgation; disclosure requirements and liability; insider trading; and, defenses against suits. The new book costs $125.
