SecureWave, a provider of endpoint security solutions announced on Tuesday (15 August) a partnership with PatchLink, a provider of security patch and vulnerability management solutions, to provide an enterprise solution that protects networks against all known and unknown security threats.

According to the companies, the partnership will enable enterprises to automate updates to SecureWave's Sanctuary application 'whitelist' by incorporating patches and other updates directly from PatchLink's PatchLink Update Server (PLUS) system and applying those to corporate endpoints.

SecureWave Sanctuary reportedly stops all forms of malicious codes, including zero-day threats, and controls the use of portable devices with a whitelist approach that focuses on a single list of allowed applications and devices, denying access to any device that is not on the approved list, whilePatchLink Update enables administrators to remediate system vulnerabilities across their entire IT infrastructure. No financial or pricing details were disclosed.
