Secure Computing Honored With VARBusiness Magazine's Coveted Five-Star Rating Three Years in a Row.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Secure Computing Corporation (NASDAQ:SCUR), the experts in securing connections between people, applications and networks, today announced its PartnersFirst channel program received VARBusiness Magazine's coveted five-star rating for the third year in a row. The award is given annually to a select group of vendors whose partners programs have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their channel. Of the more than 250 vendor-program entries reviewed for the past year, only 70 companies received the coveted five-star rating in the magazine's 12th annual Partner Programs Guide survey.

"Secure Computing is extremely proud to have been selected by VARBusiness to receive this honor," said Chris Peterson, vice president of North American sales at Secure Computing. "At our recent VAR Council meeting, our VARs echoed the findings of VARBusiness; when it comes to solid margins and world-class products that help expand their business, Secure Computing provides them with an incredible product lineup."

VARBusiness is the leading trade publication for Value Added Resellers (VARs) worldwide. Companies rely on the ratings when they evaluate new and existing partnerships. Each channel program is rated from one to five stars, and scored on breadth and depth of program elements within each program.

"We applaud Secure Computing for demonstrating best practices and for the leadership role they have achieved within the IT distribution channel," says VARBusiness editor Lawrence M. Walsh.

"Secure Computing is a partner we can depend on," said Mark Sollazo, president and CEO of SynerComm Inc., a Secure Computing partner. "We're excited about the new product offerings that Secure is bringing on board with the merger of CyberGuard. This gives us an opportunity to reach into untapped markets with robust products."

Secure Computing's North American PartnersFirst members can purchase products from three distributors: Tech Data, Westcon and Alternative Technology. Secure Computing's products have been designed to support and drive North American channel sales. Highlights of Secure Computing products include:
