Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers Decided to Consider the Voter's Electronic Card as an Official Document.

BAGHDAD / NINA / The Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers considered on Thursday 27 Feb. the electronic voter-s card distributed by the election commission as an official document relied on by state institutions to prove personality.

A statement by the Secretariat General said that the electronic voter-s card is considered an official document relied on by state institutions to prove personality.

It added that this warning is intended to maintain the elections keep them from manipulation or vote-buying and to avoid the citizen from falling under penalty of law.

The election commission started distributing electronic voter cards in all provinces, except for Anbar province, for the parliamentary elections due to be held on the thirtieth of April. / End
