Second US drone strike in two days kills six in North Waziristan.

Islamabad, Jan 13 ( ANI ): At least six people were killed and two others were injured on Thursday when an unmanned US drone fired missiles at a vehicle in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.

The strike comes two days after a similar attack that killed four militants in North Waziristan.

The Express Tribune quoted local officials, as saying that the strike took place in the New Aadda area, adding that the identities of those killed were not immediately known.

The New Aadda area has been targeted by US drones in the past.

Sources from the area said that two huge explosions were heard after which the vehicle was completely destroyed.

"The vehicle had stopped for some reason before it was destroyed by the drone attack," a resident of the area said.

A November 26 NATO cross-border attack that had killed 24 Pakistani soldiers had created chaos, souring the relationship between Pakistan and the US. ( ANI )
