Seattle Soccer Talk launches on KJR.

CCME's Sports Radio 950 KJR-AM, Seattle's live and local sports station, announced the debut of a local soccer fan centered show, "Seattle Soccer Talk," presented by Metro PCS, during the Seattle Sounders FC season. Seattle Soccer Talk will be hosted by longtime Seattle radio personality and author Mike Gastineau and will kick off with a live on-location broadcast on Tuesday, 4/15, at 7 p.m. at the Market Arms Pub in Ballard.

Seattle Soccer Talk will be an interactive fan based show and will focus primarily on the Seattle Sounders FC, but will also cover the World Cup and other stories of interest to local soccer fans. The show will broadcast live each week from a local pub and will provide an outlet for the natural passion that exists in soccer fans.

"We're excited to have 'The Gasman' back," said Sports Radio 950 KJR Program Director, Rich Moore. "We're also proud to give the areas huge soccer fan base what they've been asking for... more soccer coverage on the radio."

"When I was promoting my book, I was hearing feedback from listeners that they would like to hear more soccer coverage on KJR," said Gastineau. "I'm excited to be a part of KJR's soccer coverage and the Sounders success speaks for itself -- 2014 could be a World Cup year. The growth of the sport in America and in Seattle continues and shows like this are the natural result."
