Seaton-SSK changes name; acquires two companies.
Seaton-SSK Engineering, Inc. Au Gres, MI, has changed its name to CMI-Equipment & Engineering Inc. The company also has bought two companies in Holly, MI.
CMI-Equipment, a subsidiary of CMI International, Inc. supplies various foundry equipment: core machines, flask and flask rebuild programs, core racks, molding machines and automatic pouring systems.
The company also has a Permanent Mold and Design Division (PMD), which specializes in the design and build of piston molds, piston casting machines and spare parts for piston machines.
The firms acquired by CMI-Equipment are Schneible Co and McDaniel Tank. Their new name is CMI-Schneible Co.
CMI-Schneible specializes in air pollution control components such as: multiwash collections, cupola emission control equipment, velocitrap dust separators, uni-flo hoods, pressure vessels and entrainment separators.
The McDaniel Tank division specializes in storage tanks and related fabrications, including ASME code capabilities.
