SearchRev CEO Ken Kalb Leads Team to Successful Sale of Company to AKQA.

Kalb Helps Secure Second Round of Financing to Deliver High Value for SearchRev Shareholders

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Ken Kalb, CEO of SearchRev, a leading developer and provider of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) technology solutions, has successfully led the team which negotiated the sale of the company to AKQA, a pioneering online marketing firm. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Mr. Kalb has now left the company to create a new start-up business.

During his tenure at SearchRev, Mr. Kalb focused his efforts on building the business to be a leader in the search engine marketing field. "The company has exceptional technology and was poised for terrific success when I joined. We needed to bring it to the next level by simply building sales and scaling the technology," he stated.

In his fifteen months with the company, Mr. Kalb raised a second round of financing which greatly enhanced the valuation of the company. "We were able to capture some marquis clients and also expanded our reach by opening offices in New York and London during that period," explained Mr. Kalb. "The acquisition by AKQA is an excellent fit and will only help SearchRev continue to grow and thrive in its market."

Mr. Kalb has a history of developing and guiding start up companies and growing them to substantial market power. He founded San Diego-based Continuous Computing Corporation in 1998 and was CEO and chairman of the company until 2005. During that period Mr. Kalb won the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and was recognized by Deloitte & Touche on seven occasions for the company's rapid growth rate. He has also won the San Diego Fast 50 award for growing the company's revenue by over 28,000 percent to more than $70 million in annual sales.

Prior to founding Continuous Computing Ken was president of Emultek (now eSim), an Israeli simulation tool company, where he doubled revenues and led a successful IPO.
