About Tacky Jacks
Tacky Jacks started in 1979 as a small tavern on Cotton Bayou. Its location and the easy access to the Gulf of Mexico were contributing factors to its success. It was a favorite place to be for fishermen after a day of hard work. In the later part of the 90s, successful businessman George Skipper bought Tacky Jacks and gave it a newer leash in life by giving it more improvements. His love for the restaurant has turned it to its fun dining establishment status today, and the best part is, people enjoying the best of Gulf Shores can take part in its history.
