Scutaro leaves Feiss-Monte Carlo.
MARIA SCUTARO LEFT HER POST AS PRESIDENT OF FEISS-MONTE CARLO last month.
Generation Brands, the parent company of Feiss-Monte Carlo as well as LBL Lighting, Sea Gull Lighting and Tech Lighting, requires its brand presidents work out of its headquarters in Skokie, Ill., in order to work cross-functionally and most effectively, the company said. Scutaro, who has been president of Feiss-Monte Carlo for two years and with the company since she joined Murray Feiss in 1997, had been based in Feiss-Monte Carlo's offices in Rye, N.Y. While Scutaro and the company considered having her move to Illinois, it didn't fit Scutaro's personal situation at this time, the company said, and it respects her decision.
Greg Vandia, who was the president of Murray Feiss before Scutaro, will continue to serve as senior sales consultant through mid-2014 while Generation Brands seeks a new president for Feiss-Monte Carlo. Feiss-Monte Carlo's sales and operations team operate in its Rye, N.Y., office, while all other business functions continuing to run out of Skokie.
"We sincerely thank Maria for her many contributions, her deep passion for the Feiss and Monte Carlo brands, and in particular, for rejuvenating the brands and creating growth post the recent industry recession," said Joe Higgins, CEO, Generation Brands. "We wish her the very best."
Scutaro told HFN that she would be taking some time off before deciding on her next opportunity.
