Screaming banshees scare male strippers.
Allan Sartori, owner of The Rocket Club on Broad Street, said he had to hire extra security staff for his Saturday night 'Women Only' shows as the female punters were 'out of control'.
Mr Sartori finally pulled the plug on the popular event last weekend, blaming 'ladette culture' and female emancipation for the unruly scenes of groping and drinking at his venue.
He said: 'I am amazed at the way these women behave. They are totally out of control. We get big groups of girls causing all sorts of trouble. I have had to bring in extra security and extra management.'
About three or four male dancers strip to their thongs for women on the stage and in the booths at The Rocket Club. At the same time female dancers pole dance for men.
Mr Sartori has now replaced the night with a dedicated show for only male strippers, which takes place once a month with extra security personal.
He said: 'Men who come into my club respect the women. They talk to them and have a few dances. It is very civilised.
'But then I get these screaming banshees who come here and upset the staff. I am getting towards 60 and I do not need this stress in my life.
'I remember when girls were girls and lads were lads. That is not the case now. But now we have things like this happening because of the ladette culture and the emancipation of the female species
