Scott joins the top class.
Scottish scrapper Scott Harrison was yesterday tipped as a future world champ. The prediction came from top boss Frank Maloney who snapped up the Cambuslang kid for his stable that already includes top names such as Lennox Lewis.
Maloney beamed: "This is THE major professional signing in British Boxing this year.
"Now we can use the next five years to bring a World title home for Scott and for Scotland."
Maloney revealed how it was Barry McGuigan who persuaded him to check out 18- year-old Harrison instead of heading off to Atlanta to scout for talent at the Olympics.
He said: "Barry told me there was a talented young guy that just missed out and that he has a big future and that's good enough for me."
Harrison will continue to train with his father Peter but his first fights will be south of the border.
Scott said: "Fighting away from home won't bother me. I'm just happy to have signed with the best manager."
