In this visual effects-laden comedy from Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright, we meet dorky yet charming Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). He is an unemployed 22-year-old bass guitarist for the totally average garage band Sex Bob-omb, and he has just met Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), the girl of his dreams. Everyone we meet has baggage, but Scott soon discovers that his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of 7 ex-boyfriends who control her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor. As Scott tries to get closer to Ramona, he finds he must face an increasingly vicious rogues' gallery from her past, including infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.
