Scots' poor relation; YOUR LETTERS TO THE NATIONAL NEWSPAPER OF WALES.

* SIR - Recently, Armed Forces Day parades were held. The BBC showed the one at St James' Palace, London, and one in Edinburgh. Nothing from Wales, of course!

The London event was attended by Prince William and his new bride, while that in Scotland was attended by our so-called Prince of Wales in the full-dress uniform of a Scottish regiment, including kilt.

One would have assumed - bearing the title he does and being Colonel in Chief of the Welsh Guards and the Royal Welsh - that he would have made Armed Forces Day at Cardiff his first priority.

No - yet another slap in the face for Wales. It is an unforgivable snub by the English establishment to the Welsh nation, considering Wales has sacrificed its men and women for centuries in the cause of the British state.

Make no mistake, the House of Windsor will always put Scotland well above Wales in their pecking order. That's up to them, but the sooner Wales gets independence the better.
