Scotland minder sells off his strips.

THE Scotland football squad's "babysitter" is selling off his shirts signed by a host of world stars.

But Stewart McMillan says his big regret is that his wife put a top signed by ex-Italy star Roberto Baggio through the wash.

Stewart, 66, was SFA liaison officer for 16 years and looked after the team on nights out at the 1990 and 1998 World Cups.

He is selling shirts worn by Paul Lambert, Ally McCoist and other stars.

Stewart said: "After a game against Italy, Baggio agreed to swap strips.

"He signed it for me, 'All the best Roberto Baggio'. I got home about four the next morning and told my wife not to touch my bag.

"When I got up, it wasn't there and I saw it out on the washing line.

"I dashed out in my underwear but there was no trace of the signature - so I gave it to a lad at my local Italian restaurant."

Over the years Stewart has given away many strips and souvenirs.

After retiring to Spain earlier this year he decided to sell off his keepsakes.

The auction takes place at Glasgow's McTears on Tuesday.

As well as Stewart's lots, Davie Cooper's last Scotland strip, signed by the late Rangers idol, is on sale.
