Scope for expansion of the garment industry.

Scope for Expansion of the Garment Industry

Our government recognises that Fashion Apparel Industry is one of the most dynamic sector of Pakistan's economy. In Pakistan with its cotton based economy there is a great scope for expansion of the garment industry to boost and earn much needed foreign exchange. It will be not out of way to mention here that creation of new employment opportunities is not keeping pace with growing unemployment in the country. Apparel industry alone can create huge employment opportunity with less investment compared to all other industries e.g. if an apparel industry invest Rs. 10 million it can create over 500 new jobs compared to 200 to 300 jobs created by other industries with the investment of over 100 millions of rupees.

Keeping in view the glaring features of our apparel industry we in the best interest of growth of national economy has considered that fairs and exhibitions are the most effective forums where dignitaries of trade and industry from different markets of the world have excellent opportunities to exchange mutually beneficial views and to negotiate lucrative commercial contracts. The repeated success of Fashion Apparel Fair since 1987 in term of fame & fortune has compelled us to make this event as regular feature of country. Consequent upon launching an aggressive promotional campaign, our Fashion Apparel Fair has established itself as the single most important event that displays before the world Pakistan's most finest fashion apparel, fabrics and home textiles products - all under one roof. For international buyers this has become a vital event for doing business with Pakistani exporters. For Pakistani manufacturers and exporters, FAF'91 will be a rewarding experience. It will introduce them to new buyers, new clients and new opportunities for expanding their business. FAF'91 is the most cost-effective way to market the latest collections of Pakistani textile products directly to international buyers.

Pakistani business men have long felt the need for proper international exposure of the progress and development made by our country in the manufacture of fashion apparel and other textile products. We need to increase value-added exports from Pakistan and an impressive fair such as FAF'91 will certainly help in showing the world that we supply high quality products.

FAF'91 will speak to the entire world for respective company and for their products. The large number of international buyers who are expected to visit FAF'91 will certainly go back impressed with the range of quality apparel made in Pakistan. We hope that Fashion Apparel Fair will fulfil the aspiration of exhibitors who will display their product in a very impressive manner in term of quality and competitive prices.
