Science exhibition at Hamdard University.

KARACHI -- Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology (FEST) Hamdard University on Thursday organised an inter-university competition and exhibition under the title, Hamdard University Project Exhibition and Competition 2017 (HUPEC'17).

More than 250 students of Hamdard University , NEDUET, UIT, IU, PAF-KIET and SSUET presented their projects for competition in the four disciplines of engineering and science . As many as 110 projects were registered for the event, out of which 60 were presented for competition while 50 were presented for exhibition .

A sum of Rs100,000/- was distributed as cash prizes among the winners in different categories.

HUPEC'17 provided a platform where students got an opportunity to rub their shoulders with industry professionals and academicians.

More than 50 renowned industry professionals were invited to the event and few of them along with the externals from academia evaluated the projects of the students.

A formal interaction of industry professionals with the academicians in HU board room was the most important segment of the event.

In this session industry professionals showed interest in developing liaison for future cooperation with Hamdard University in order to get fulfilled industry's engineering requirements.

The event culminated in speeches by Professor Dr Shabibul Hasan, Vice Chancellor HU, Professor Dr Valiuddin, Registrar HU, Chief Guest Navid Ansari, Director SysTek and Guest of Honor Irfan Ahmed, The Energy Grid (Pvt) Ltd Prizes among the winners and shields to the organisers were distributed by the honourable guests.

Special mementos were also presented to the guests by the vice chancellor.

The chief guest ended his note with the hope to look forward to the HUPEC 2018 next year.
