Science and technology of chemiresistor gas sensors.

Science and technology of chemiresistor gas sensors.

Ed. by Dinesh K. Aswal and Shiv K. Gupta.

Nova Science Publishers

380 pages

Aswal and Gupta, both affiliated with the Bhabha Atomic Research Center in India, assemble contributors from Japan, India, Moldova, the US, China, Hungary, and France to shed light on current work and future research needs pertaining to chemiresistive gas sensors. Introductory chapters give background on different types of gas sensors that have been developed or proposed, outline sensor technology and construction, review the literature on existing chemiresistive materials, and cover experimental determination of various sensor parameters. Subsequent chapters cover fabrication and characteristics of one-electrode gas sensors and gas sensing nanomaterials, measurements and analyses of sensor response, and sensors designed to monitor and detect oxygen. Gas sensing aspects of elemental semiconductor tellurium thin films are discussed, and theoretical and experimental models are described for applying noise spectroscopy to metallic oxide gas sensors. B&w and a few color images are included.
