Schoolboy denies raping woman at knifepoint.

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy raped a woman at knifepoint after pouncing as she walked home from a night out, Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday.

The boy used a penknife with a three-inch blade to threaten his 22-year-old victim just yards from her home in Golborne, near Wigan.

He ordered: "Don't scream" then took the terrified woman to a den in fields before stripping her naked and raping her, the court heard.

The youngster, wearing shirt and tie, sat passively next to his father in court as his victim told the jury of her ordeal.

She told the court she had drunk a bottle of rose wine and half a lager in a pub in Golborne.

At closing time, an exboyfriend walked her most of the way home but she told him, "I'll be OK" to walk the final part of the 10-minute journey alone.

Then she spotted a man behind her on the street. Dressed in black with a scarf covering his face, he grabbed her arm and pulled out a knife.

"He said: ' Don't scream'.

I was scared," the victim told the jury.

She was taken to a fields near a nursery school and ordered to get undressed but refused so the youngster pulled off her clothes.

He then told her to lie down, took off her underwear and raped her. The schoolboy ran off after the alleged attack. His victim ran home and told her father she had been raped and police were called.

She told detectives her attacker had a round face and "smooth cheeks" with no stubble and described the knife.

Police arrested the boy three weeks later and discovered he collected knives and at least three of five seized fitted the description given by the victim.

The youngster at first denied all knowledge of the attack, said he was a virgin and at home on the night of the attack.

But police then told him DNA evidence taken from the victim proved it was him "without doubt".

Andrew Long, prosecuting, told the jury the defendant then changed his story and said he met the woman "by chance" and she took him into the bushes and they had consensual sex.

The defendant, now 15, denies rape.
