School merger meeting.

A PROPOSAL to look into developing an area school on Anglesey will be re-examined by the council's executive today.

The executive voted in November for officers to explore a scheme to merge Ysgol Llanddeusant, Ysgol Llanrhyddlad, Ysgol Cylch y Garn in Llanfachraeth, and Ysgol Ffrwd Win in Llanfaethlu.

This created a backlash with Ysgol Llanddeusant the only school to provisionally welcome the idea.

The scrutiny committee last month sent the decision back to the executive to re-examine.

Members will today meet again when it is recommended that officers carry out further research into possible funding, timings and the location of a proposed area school before meeting governors.
